At the Write Along this week at the museum, I chose a new spot and kind of an unlikely one: The hallway between exhibits. The great thing about a museum is every surface is open for displaying art, so you might find it in unusual locations. On the first floor of the YAM there’s a timeline showing notable moments in the museum’s 60-year history. There are also some great pieces of art. But they may not be ones that you’d necessarily linger on. Which is exactly the reason why I chose them for an hour of deep study on Tuesday.
